The Employment Injury Scheme (EIS) Pilot currently covers workers employed in selected export-oriented industrial sectors of Bangladesh. These sectors have been chosen due to their significant contribution to the national economy, large workforce, and exposure to occupational risks. Through the EIS Pilot, eligible workers in the Ready-Made Garment (RMG) sector, Footwear and Leather Goods sector, and selected industries operating within Bangladesh Export Processing Zones (EPZs) can access employment injury protection and related benefits.
Each sector page provides an overview of the respective sector, including information on employers’ associations and workers. The pages also contain guidance on the EIS Pilot, relevant procedures, required forms, and downloadable templates to support employers, workers, and other stakeholders in processing and submitting employment injury claims under the scheme.
